What are Aleve Arthritis Caps?

The Aleve Easy Open Arthritis Cap and Aleve Soft Grip® Arthritis Cap are specially designed for consumers living with minor arthritis of the hand but can be used by people with other types of minor aches and pain. These caps are covered with a cushioned material to give you better control and allow you to easily open the bottle with one quick turn.

The Aleve Easy Open Arthritis Cap is featured on the Aleve 100 ct Caplets, 200 ct Tablets and 80 ct Liquid Gel packaging. This cap is not child resistant.

The Aleve Soft Grip Arthritis Cap is featured on the Aleve 270 ct Caplets and Aleve 40 ct Gelcap packaging and is child resistant.

Has the Aleve Arthritis Cap package been recognized by the Arthritis Foundation?

Yes. The Easy Open Arthritis Cap and Soft Grip® Arthritis Cap were approved and have received the Arthritis Foundation's Ease of Use Commendation. The Soft Grip Arthritis Cap also passed the strict guidelines and test protocol of the Consumer Product Safety Commission for child-resistant packaging.

Are Aleve bottles recyclable?

Yes, our Aleve bottles are HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and polystyrene plastic. If you do wish to recycle the Aleve bottle, it is classified as a mixed plastics code 7.

Our non-arthritis Aleve cap is recyclable and made of polypropylene plastic. It is classified as a code 5.

Our new Aleve Easy Open Arthritis Cap is recyclable and made of polypropylene plastic. It is classified as a mixed plastics code 7.

Why do some Aleve bottles have a fold-out label?

Some of our bottles have a fold-out label that provides more room to print directions and warnings. The label also uses a larger print size so important information can be more easily read.
